Pavilion

Pavilion is an addition to a lakefront residence in western Vermont. The refined singular space evokes the feeling of a three-season porch but is appropriately detailed for year-round use. Exterior slatwork and wooden trellis detailing protects the west wall, providing both solar shading and interior privacy. Folding glass walls on the east provide complete flexibility to open the space to the lakefront and surrounding landscape. The butterfly roof, along with the large fireplace with raw steel surround, creates a warm and visually enjoyable interior space in any weather.
