About
A modern lake house on a peninsula extending into Lake Champlain.
The project program was organized into three connected forms. The entry flat roof connects the north and south wings of the house, organized around a central pool courtyard. The north wing houses the living spaces while the south wing contains the garage, gym, and office spaces.
The palette is composed of natural materials: western red cedar, Corten cladding, corral board, and board-formed concrete, designed to age gracefully and blend seamlessly into the surroundings. The result is a uniquely situated lakefront house, developed to show the potential of new shoreline regulations and defer to the natural beauty of the site.
