Stowe, Vermont
About
Modern retreat overlooking the ski trails of Stowe Mountain Resort.
Ridgeline is a striking single-family residence completed in 2024 by Birdseye in Stowe, Vermont. Overlooking Stowe Mountain Resort, the home features a linear design with dynamic forms—a bold butterfly roof paired with a flat roof deck crowned by a planter-lined oculus—that frame sweeping views of the mountain ridgelines.
Interior finishes of oak floors and ceilings, plaster, and textured wallpapers harmonize with the architecture, while sustainable elements—high insulation (R40 walls, R60 roof), thermally broken windows, rainwater management, low-VOC materials, water-conserving plumbing, and a heat-pump and high efficiency boiler heating system—underscore a commitment to energy efficiency and site integration. Recognized with the 2024 AIA Vermont Honor Award and featured in 2025 Elle Decor Germany, Ridgeline embodies modern mountain architecture in Vermont, combining design innovation, environmental responsibility, and timeless materiality.
