A renovated Vermont ski house, Woods House required site clearing and thoughtful additions to accommodate a growing family.
Birdseye used the original structure—a hand hewn timber frame—as the basis for the new construction project. The team built a dormered addition, including a sitting room off of the original kitchen with a stair leading to a partially lofted primary bedroom. Prior to the renovation, the site was prepared by clearing trees and diverting water runoff to the back of the house. Tree clearing created space around the house that allowed for the build-out of extensive decking.
