Farmstead Revival involved the relocation and restoration of an 1816 brick Federal farmhouse, the design and construction of new additions, the relocation, repair, and re-purposing of multiple outbuildings, as well as the installation of infrastructure and roads.
The master plan addressed programmatic, landscape, and energy needs to unify the site while preserving its agricultural spirit. The brick farmhouse was carefully upgraded with a high-performance thermal envelope, while a modern addition—linked by a light-filled foyer—houses communal living spaces with panoramic views. Two historic barns were positioned to frame a central forecourt. The project integrates renewable energy through geothermal heat pumps and a rooftop solar array, and the working landscape includes gardens, orchards, and outdoor living spaces such as porches, a sunroom, and a pergola.
