Kedron Hill

Kedron Hill

Central Vermont

01

Cantilevered parts of the building float over the landscape capturing long-range views.

02

Clad in weathered boards that create a tight board-and-batten corduroy.

03

A chimney and fireplace, designed by sculptor Darrell Petit, is crafted from blocks of Barre granite.

About

A modern reimagined barn house.

Kedron Hill has sweeping views of the Connecticut River Valley, with an uninterrupted connection to the landscape, regardless of the season. The residence is a study in contrast. By pairing a 100-foot-long timber truss system, evoking the heritage of Vermont’s covered bridges and historic barns, with expansive glass and light, the home feels simultaneously anchored and airy.
