Birdseye Sitework is seeking a hardworking and dependable Mason Tender to support our masonry and hardscape crews on residential and commercial construction projects.
The Mason Tender is responsible for preparing materials, mixing mortar and concrete, transporting supplies, maintaining tools and equipment, and assisting masons in the installation of hardscape and masonry features. This position requires physical stamina, attention to safety, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist masons with the construction and installation of: stone walls, retaining walls, patios, walkways, steps, veneer stone applications, fireplaces, and chimneys.
Mix mortar, concrete, and other materials according to project specifications.
Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
Cut and prepare stone, block, brick, and pavers as directed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Set up scaffolding, work platforms, and job site protection as needed.
Stock materials and keep masons supplied throughout the workday.
Operate hand tools, power tools, compactors, mixers, and other construction equipment safely.
Assist with excavation, grading, site preparation, and cleanup activities.
Follow company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
Perform general labor duties as assigned by supervisors.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous construction, landscaping, masonry, or laborer experience preferred but not required.
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in masonry, hardscaping, or construction.
Knowledge of basic construction tools and equipment.
OSHA 10 certification.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Equipment operation experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of heavy materials.
Standing, kneeling, bending, climbing, and walking for extended periods.
Ability to perform strenuous physical labor throughout the workday.
Work in outdoor environments, including heat, cold, rain, and uneven terrain.
Work Environment
Outdoor construction and landscaping job sites.
Exposure to various weather conditions, dust, dirt, noise, and construction materials.
Work around heavy equipment, power tools, excavation areas, and active construction zones.
Compensation and Benefits
$20-25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
