Blending classic and contemporary to form unique metalworks
Metal is an enigmatic material. While immensely strong and rigid when cooled, if enough heat and pressure is applied, it becomes briefly elastic and formable. Like the material we work with, there is a duality to be found in our tooling and processes. We use the most modern welding and cutting technologies alongside centuries-old forging equipment and blacksmithing techniques, allowing for flexible and efficient production of a wide variety of projects. When paired with contemporary design sensibilities, we create pieces that range from functional to artistic—all of which come to life through the Birdseye perspective.
We are happy to work with clients and designers at any level of design, from conceptual pencil sketches to fully developed architectural renderings. Our experience and expertise also helps us demystify the vast array of materials, profiles, textures, patinas and finishes available to a design in metal.
Our Team
Our one-man metal shop is run by Judson Yaggy. He holds a degree in Industrial Design and Technology and has been metalworking for over 30 years. His journey in forging and fabricating began when his parents gave him a forge and anvil for high school graduation. He currently sits on the board of directors of New England Blacksmiths, a regional nonprofit educational organization dedicated to preserving the craft of blacksmithing.
